Disability Inclusion and Self-Advocacy

This initiative with DHRC-Nepal is a sister project to the Disability Inclusion and Livelihoods project with FWDN, working with disabled people belonging to self-help groups (SHGs) in Kageshwori Manohara, Kathmandu, to amplify their voices for self-advocacy, awareness and understanding through community media training.

The participants will be empowered to represent themselves and their communities to local authorities and wider society, for a better understanding of their lives and challenges, successes, and to advocate for material and attitudinal change.
