Closing date: 9th July 2017
Location: Norwich City centre
Disability and Development Partners (DDP) is an international development charity which relocated from London to Norwich this month. We currently work with partners in India, Nepal, Ethiopia, Burundi and Mozambique. Our project partnerships are creating opportunities in livelihoods and education, enabling partner organisations to advocate for disabled and marginalised people’s Rights, and influencing policy and promoting inclusion in mainstream development.
We are looking for an experienced Project Officer to support and manage current projects and to develop new project ideas and secure funding for these.
We would like applicants to have a relevant degree and experience in a role that involved direct work with project partners, project monitoring and reporting to donors in an international development context. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate their commitment to supporting disabled people and people in very poor and marginalised communities.
The ideal candidate will be a good listener, experienced at working and communicating at distance and across cultures and languages. You will also be expected to work directly with partners on regular project visits.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm and committed team at DDP as it embarks on a new chapter, to contribute to work that changes the lives of people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities and to play a central role in the future of the charity.
Closing date 9th July 2017. Interviews will take place on 19th July 2017 at DDP’s new Norwich office in Sackville Place, NR3 1JU.
