An opportunity to develop a local support base for DDP
Local fundraising lead, 21 hours £26,500 (pro-rata)
Closing date 28th May 2017
Disability and Development Partners (DDP) is an international NGO relocating from London to Norwich in June. We currently work with project partners in India, Nepal, Ethiopia, Burundi and Mozambique who are passionate in taking up the challenges of tackling the major issues that matter to disabled children, women and men and people in marginalized communities.
We are looking for an organised and highly effective person to take the lead on developing our local supporter base. This person will develop and implement a strategy to harness support from Norfolk’s local communities, businesses, grant making trusts and foundations. They will publicise and promote DDP’s work and develop and execute fundraising ideas in partnership with local supporters and project partners.
The successful applicant will have the freedom to innovate and work flexibly. They will be expected to raise funds for the organisation and deliver on mutually agreed targets. There will be the opportunity on occasion to visit project partners, and develop relationships that will support fundraising.
We are looking for a person with fundraising, sales or business development experience from a third sector or corporate background. What is more important however is the passion and enthusiasm that you bring to the role.
The successful individual will have a proven track record in project management and excellent attention to detail, a collaborative approach to work yet an ability to work independently. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the warm and committed team at DDP, to learn about development aid and play a central role in the future of the charity.
Interviews for this role will take place on Monday 5th June at DDP’s Norwich office in Sackville Place, NR3 1JU.
To apply please submit your CV together with covering letter via email, along with the names of 2 referees and explaining your interest in this role once you have read the job description and person specification.
